About Us

Gheranda is named in honor of an unique sage who is the composer of the Gheranda Samhita, one of the 3 main Hatha yoga texts along with the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Shiva Samhita. The name Gheranda is also unique in that this is the only time it appears in Sanskrit literature.

We conduct spiritual tours, yoga retreats and teacher trainings exclusively in India.

Over a decade Cosetta has been trained and inspired by many master teachers in the healing arts of yoga, meditation and shamanism.

Throughout the years she has studied different forms of Hatha Yoga (Ashtanga, BKS Iyengar, Viniyoga, Power Yoga, Yin–Yang), but found her true style and voice only after meeting Shiva Rea in 2005 and her revolutionary Prana Flow Yoga. She is currently a mentor of Samudra, the school of living yoga created by Shiva Rea and often travels to assist Shiva during her teacher trainings. She is a Registered Yoga Alliance Experienced Teacher (ERYT 500).

She is also a creative dakini, who has been studying and practicing the art of ikebana (flower sculptures) of Sogetzu school, and devotional beauty.

She us ferocious in her dedication to seize the present moment. Living life as it comes allows her to experience and teach yoga as a living practice, weaving all the wisdom traditions in the now.

Intuitive guidance, precise breath work, creative flows, chanting, moving and sitting meditation are explored in her classes.

Her students are constantly invited to shift inward in order to reach outward.
